BELUR MATH, KOLKATA: Ramakrishna Temple is commonly known as, Belur Math. It is situated on the west bank of Hooghly River, Belur, and West Bengal, India. The distance of belur math from dhakhinswar kali temple is approximately 15 mins by lanch over Hooghly River. The atmosphere of belur math is very silent. Vivekananda founded this math. This Ramakrishna temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna Movement. The Ramakrishna temple is remarkable for its architecture that fuses Hindu, Christian and Islamic motifs as a symbol of unity of all religions. In 2007 Belurmath railway station was also inaugurated which is dedicated to Belurmath temple.
