Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi
The tower of the Vishweshwara temple is a hundred feet high. The present Kashi Vishweshwar temple was built by Ahalya Devi Holkar in 1777 AD. The Hindu devotees visit Kashi to make offerings to LORD SHIVA. Kashi Kshetra and Sri Vishweswara JyotirLinga are connected as the holiest shrines in the world. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is located on the bank of the holy river Ganges. Lord Shiva is the main deity in Hinduism and also known as the Vishwanatha or Vishweshwara (means the ruler of the universe). Kashi is the oldest city of the world in history and known as the city of Lord Shiva.
